Two-time heavyweight champion Joshua Discharged from Hospital in Nigeria Following Tragic Car Crash

The British boxer Anthony Joshua has left the medical facility, officials in Lagos stated on Wednesday night. The fighter was caught in a vehicular crash outside Lagos on Monday, a tragic incident that took the lives of two of his close associates.

Under Observation for Minor Injuries

The boxer had been under observation while healing from his light wounds, representatives stated earlier on Monday. A government official, Gbenga Omotoso, said in a statement on social media that Joshua was declared medically stable to leave and heal privately.

“Anthony and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to say their last goodbyes to his two deceased friends as they were being readied to be sent home,” Omotosho said.

A Tribute to the Fallen

Those who lost their lives were named as Latif Ayodele, a fitness coach, and Sina Ghami, a performance coach. Omotoso added that the boxer was “heavy-hearted and deeply emotional over the loss of his two trusted companions.”

The news of his discharge arrives after the boxing community had expressed sympathy for the fighter in the following the heartbreaking incident.
