Acclaimed children's author and entertainer David Walliams has parted ways with his UK book publisher, the company has said.
A spokesman for the publisher stated: "Following a thorough review, and with the guidance of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing future works by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the move was made after an investigation into reports of inappropriate behaviour towards female individuals.
The company has not elaborated on the specific rationale behind the move, noting: "We do not comment on internal matters."
Walliams stands as a most best-selling authors for kids, having sold more than 60 million copies worldwide in dozens of tongues.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins in 2008.
Several of his books, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into TV movies.
His bibliography includes more than 40 books in total, encompassing a festive story called *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins in October.
His career breakthrough occurred on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE back in 2017 honoring his contributions to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
This development follows the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO in October.
