Barcelona have announced they are set to host at the still-under-construction Camp Nou this Saturday. The club will host the Bilbao team in the Spanish league over two years since relocating so building work could begin.
“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
The stadium will not be at full capacity with 45,401 fans can be present under the licence granted. When completed, the Camp Nou is due to hold over 104,000 attendees, a rise from the old capacity. Barça announced recent additions comprise an updated entryway for the team and new dressing rooms.
Barcelona held an open training session at the Camp Nou in early November. The club said they were hoping for permission from European football’s governing body to play their next home Champions League game versus the German side next month at the stadium. They have been hosting matches at the Olympic Stadium.
